 新たな旅立ち

桜咲く、別れと旅立ちの季節になりました。昨年に引き続き、この春、児童養護施設

を卒園し新たな一歩を踏み出す青年たちへ、新生活サポートパッケージをお届けしま

した。ボランティアさんたちとたくさんの応援の気持ちを込めました。

皆さんの新たな出発の小さな力になると嬉しいです！

また、母子支援施設が運営している無料塾で学び、大学等合格を果たされた学生たち

へも、合格のお祝いをお送りしました。皆さんの新たな旅立ちを応援しています！

New Beginning

It's the season of farewells and new beginnings with cherry blossoms blooming. This spring, we delivered special care packages to young people who are graduating from children’s homes and taking a new step forward. We are happy to be a small source of strength for those graduates’ new start!  We also sent congratulatory gifts to the former residents at the home for single parent families who passed high school or university entrance exams.  We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has helped us by donating the gifts. 

スポーツプロジェクト―バスケットボール―

２０２３.３.１２

スペシャルオリンピックスのバスケットボールの選手と東京サムライとのコラボでイベントを

開催しました。バスケットボールチーム「東京サムライ」は、 海外出身選手と日本人選手で構成

され、東京を拠点として日本におけるバスケットボールの普及に努めておられます。

今回は、東京サムライとスペシャルオリンピックスのバスケットボールのアスリートとの練習

イベントの開催でした。会場は、お互いに気遣いをしあうスポーツマンシップの精神に溢れ、

心温まる練習になったようです。練習の他、ボールのプレゼントをかけたシューティングゲーム

をしたりと両チームにとって、とても心に残るプログラムになったようでした。

また、今回は、スポルディングジャパン株式会社様のご寄付により、練習用のボールと参加者の

方々へのギフトが送られました。 ご協力いただきました皆さまに心より御礼申し上げます。

Sports Project - Basketball | 2023.3.12

We held an event in collaboration with Special Olympics basketball players and Tokyo Samurai basketball team. Tokyo Samurai is made up of players from overseas and Japanese players and is based in Tokyo. We held a practice event with Special Olympics athletes and Tokyo Samurai. The venue was filled with the spirit of sportsmanship, where everyone was considerate of each other. In addition to the practice, both teams had a very memorable time when they played a shooting game with a ball as a prize. Thanks to the donation from Spalding Japan Co., Ltd., practice balls and gifts for participants. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who support this event.

自立支援ホームと学習支援施設へ定期便のケアパッケージをお届けいたしました。

 お送りした学習支援施設は、主に外国人世帯のお子様が通われる施設で、自国と環境の

異なる日本での生活を頑張っておられる世帯が多く、定期的にお届けするケアパッケージ

は、生活サポートになると喜ばれています。

Care Package Project | 2023.2.20

We delivered care packages regularly to independent living assistance home and families receiving welfare. The families we sent to are mainly families from foreign households  and many households are trying hard to live in Japan, where the culture and environment are different from their own countries. They are pleased to receive the care packages delivered regularly, which provides them with life support.

ホリデープロジェクト―ひな祭り―｜２０２３.２.１７

いよいよ春の気配を感じます。

今回は、ひな祭りのためのホリデープロジェクトを実施しました。ボランティアさん

たちが一つひとつ丁寧にラッピングし、２５０個のパッケージを作ってくださいました。

 こちらのパッケージは５施設にお届けいたしました。

Holiday Project - Hinamatsuri - | February 17, 2023

We can finally feel the spring approaching. This time, we had a holiday project for Hinamatsuri (Doll Festival). Volunteers carefully wrapped and made 250 packages one by one. These packages with the decorations were delivered to five homes. 

Thank you very much to every volunteers who helped and supported the project. 

ケアパッケージプロジェクト／スポーツプロジェクト／ホリデープロジェクト

２０２２.１２.２９

年末、末日聖徒イエス・キリスト教会様のボランティアの皆さんにお集まりいただき、母子支援施設・

児童養護施設・また施設卒園の皆さんにお送りするケアパッケージやお年玉お菓子袋を準備し、お届けいた

しました。合わせてこの日は、スポーツプロジェクトの一環でご寄付いただいた、沢山のスポーツ用品を

ラッピングしお届けいたしました。プロジェクトに参加してくださったのは、小さな子供たちから大人まで、総勢１２０名のボランティアの皆さん！元気な声が響く活気あふれる活動でした。

お届けした数は次の通りです。

一年の締めくくりに、沢山の皆さんとプロジェクトができたことは、とても嬉しく感謝の気持ちで

Special Service Project ―Care Package Project/Sports Project/Holiday Project－

December 29, 2022

At the end of the year of 2022, volunteers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gathered to prepare care packages and New Year's goodie bags to be delivered to the homes for single parent families, children's homes and graduates of these facilities. On the same day, as part of our Sports Project, we wrapped and delivered many sports equipment donated by generous supporters.

A total of 120 volunteers participated in these projects, ranging from young children to adults. It was a lively activity with energetic voices echoing all around.

Here are the numbers of items we delivered:

Care Packages: 120 sets sent to 7 facilities

Sports Equipment: 70 sets sent to 7 facilities

Holiday Packages: 300 sets sent to 6 facilities

We are so happy and grateful to have had the opportunity to work on these projects with so many people to close out the year. We hope that this project will be a seed that brings smiles to everyone's faces. We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who donated food, sports equipment, and other items, as well as to the volunteers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint who joined us on the day of the event. ―クリスマス・お年玉パッケージ―

バスケットのクラブチーム、東京サムライの選手、コーチの皆さんにお力添えをいただき

児童養護施設に暮らすお子さんへクリスマスのお菓子袋と新年のお年玉袋を準備し、お届けしました。ご協力くださいました皆さまどうもありがとうございました。

Holiday Project ―Christmas and New Year Gift Packages ―| 2022.12.14

With the help and support of the basketball club team, Tokyo Samurai's players and coaches, we prepared and delivered Christmas and New Year gift packages for children’s home. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who helped us with this project.

東北プロジェクト｜２０２２.１２.１０-１１

２０１１年の東日本大震災により大きな被害を受けた宮城県へ、２５名のボーイスカウトと学びとボランティアの旅に出かけました。震災から１２年が経過し、改めて当時の状況や被害を振り返り、皆で防災の大切さついて学びました。また、震災後の新事業と運営されている園芸ガーデンや地元農家さんのお手伝いもさせていただきました。

Tohoku Project | December 10-11, 2022

A group of 25 Boy Scouts and volunteers went on a learning and volunteering trip to Miyagi Prefecture which suffered great damage from the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. After 12 years, they looked back on the situation and the damage at the time and learned about the importance of disaster prevention. They also helped out at Ogatsu rose garden factory and at a local farmer's place.

ホリデープロジェクト―New Years －

ケアパッケージプロジェクト 　　　　　　｜２０２２.１２.４

Jewish community of Japan（JCJ）グループの方々と共に、ホリデープロジェクト（お年玉ギフト）とケアパッケージプロジェクトを実施いたしました。このプロジェクトには、子供から大人までの約４０名のボランティアさんがお集まりくださり、パッキングや発送準備のお手伝いをいただきました。今回のホリデープロジェクトは、新たな一年を迎えるにあたり「新しい気持ちで学びに励んでもらおう！」という気持ちを込め、児童養護施設と学習支援施設（２施設）へ、７０名分のお年玉ギフト（文房具セット）をお届けしました。また、ケアパッケージプロジェクトでは、児童養護施設の卒園生や自立援助ホームの利用者さんへ、日用品や食料品などを入れたケアパッケージをお届けしました。

Holiday Project -New years-

Care package Project | Dec 4th, 2022

With the amazing and great support from the Jewish community of Japan (JCJ), we held Holiday Project (Otoshidama: New Year’s Gift) and Care Package Project. About 40 kids and adults volunteer joined on this day and helped us pack and prepare for shipping the items for those projects! 

For the Holiday project, we packed 70 stationery sets to 1 children’s home and 1 *learning support center so they can feel refreshed and begin a new school life. 

In the Care Package Project, we packed daily necessities and groceries and delivered them to children’s home graduates and those who use the independence support.

Thank you to everyone who was involved in this project for your support. 

ブティックプロジェクト ｜２０２２.１１.６

母子支援施設にて、衣類やバッグなど服飾雑貨を無料で提供するブティックプロジェクトを実施しました。

日頃、忙しく子育てをされているお母さんを応援しよう！

ということで、ご寄付で集まった服飾雑貨で施設内にブティックを設置しました。まさに現地まで行く完全無料のフリーマーケット、

フリーブティックです。

ご寄付で集まった服飾雑貨はワゴン車４台分。約１６世帯のご家族にお越しいただき、試着を楽しんでいただいたり、好きな洋服を選んでいただいたりと大盛況に終わりました。

都合がつかず来られなかった方には、職員の方が代わりに選んでいただき届けてくださいました。

Boutique Project | Nov 6th, 2022

The Free Boutique Project was held at a mothers’ home to support the mothers. This project came up to support the mothers to let them have/enjoy their time because usually, they cannot spare their time for themselves. So, we set up a small free boutique area at the home. All the items were donated. Lovely! The total amount of donated clothes were almost as same as 4 wagon cars can contain. About 16 house families joined this project and they enjoyed this boutique. Also, the mother’s home staff picked some of the clothes for mothers who couldn’t come to this event. For the volunteers who supported us from the preparation to action on the day, thank you so much for your support as always.

ケアパッケージプロジェクト｜ ２０２２.１０

１０月、キッコーマン株式会社様、浦上食品・食文化振興財団様 、

トーエイ貿易株式会社様よりご支援をいただき、ボランティアさん（約５０名）のサポートのもとケアパッケージプロジェクトを

実施いたしました。

上記企業様よりいただいた食品のご寄付を、ボランティアさんたちが丁寧にパッキングしてくださり、母子支援施設（５施設）、自立援助ホーム（１施設）、児童養護施設（１施設）へお届けしました。

Care Package Project Oct.2022

In October, with the support of Kikkoman Corporation, Urakami  Foundation, and Toei Trading Co., we implemented a care package project with the help of about 50 volunteers.

The food donations were carefully packed by the volunteers and delivered to 5 homes for single parent families, 1 independent living assistance home and 1 children's home. 

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the companies that provided support and to the many volunteers who helped with transportation, preparation and packing.

防災学習イベント｜２０２２.１０.２２

子どもたちへの居場所・学習支援を実施されている、キッズドア様

にて、海外にルーツをもつ子供たちと共に防災について学びました。

参加した子どもたちは、大きな地震が来た時のことを想像し、避難

方法などを話し合い、防災時にはどんなものを準備しておいた方がよいかなどを考え、実際に防災バッグをつくりました。

振り返りの時間では、それぞれが学んだことなどを発表し、有意義な学習になったようです。

この日参加した子供たちへ簡易的な防災グッズをプレゼントしました。少しでも子供たちの防災意識の向上に繋がりますように。

Emergency Drill Activity | Oct 22nd, 2022

We had an emergency drill activity with the children who has migration roots at the NPO KIDSDOOR office. The children utilized their creativity and discussed what we should expect when a serious earthquake happens, how to evacuate, and what to be prepared for in advance. Hence, they made an actual disaster relief bag. In their debriefing meeting, the children presented what they learnt from the drill. Seems it was a meaningful time for them. After all the activity was done, we gave the children a small disaster relief gift. May this activity helps them pay attention to the importance of disaster relief.

ホリデープロジェクト＝ハロウィン＝｜２０２２.１０

約５０名のボランティアさんのご協力のもと、秋のホリデープロジェクトを実施し、児童養護施設、母子支援施設、自立援助ホーム、自立支援施設などにはハロウィンにちなんだ、デコレーションやお菓子をお届けしました。

沢山の子どもたちが楽しんでくれていることを願います。

Holiday Project | Oct 2022

With the help of approximately 50 volunteers, we packed and delivered Halloween decorating ornaments and sweets to children’s homes, mothers’ homes, and independence support homes as the autumn holiday project. Wish everyone enjoyed our gifts.

ケアパッケージプロジェクト × NBA｜２０２２.１０.１

 NBAジャパンゲームで来日している、Washington Wizardsの選手の

皆さんとのボランティアプロジェクトを企画する機会を

いただきまた。

Anthony Gill, Jordan Schakel をはじめ、多くのNBA starsとJr.NBAの皆さんが、児童養護施設星美ホームのお子さん達に文房具などが

入ったケアパッケージを作ってくれました。その他、星美ホームにWizardsの選手が描かれたアートやサプライズの５０００ドルのご寄付もいただきました。

社会貢献をミッションとし、素晴らしい活動を行っておられる

NBA Cares。そして、バスケットコートでの見事なプレーはもちろん、コートの外でも、多くの方々に感動や勇気を提供している選手の

皆さんに心より感謝申し上げます。

Anthony Gill, Jordan Schakel and many other NBA stars from Washington Wizards and the Jr. NBA made 150 care packages for Seibi Home. Seibi Home also received special art works and a surprise donation of $5k. It’s so grateful for what NBA cares does for the community. We know NBA stars do the great work on the court but  We are  very impressed with what NBA stars do off the court too. Making an impact. HUGE thanks  to Daniel Feinberg from NBA Cares.

ガーデニングプロジェクト ｜２０２２.６.２５

学習支援施設に通う子供たちと、ガーデニングプロジェクトを実施しました。

このプロジェクトは、海外にルーツを持つ子供たちとコミュニケーションを図り、

日本の生活を楽しんでもらいながら植物について学んでみようという目的です。

今回は、事前に子供たちが土づくりをしてくれた施設内の花壇に、何年も花が咲く、

宿根草や多年草の花々を植えました。猛暑の中での作業となりましたが、子供たちは

驚くほど積極的に花壇づくりをして楽しんでくれました。暑い中、お手伝いに駆けつけて

くださったボランティアさん本当にどうもありがとうございました。

施設がきれいな花々で彩られるのが待ち遠しいです。

Gardening Project | Jun 25th, 2022

We implemented a gardening project at the learning support facility. The purpose of this project was to communicate with children of foreign roots, have them enjoy Japanese living while learning about plants. This time, we planted perennial and biennial flowers that bloom for years in the flower bed where the children had previously prepared the soil.

Despite the scorching heat, the children were surprisingly enthusiastic about creating the flower bed and enjoyed the experience. We are truly grateful to the volunteers who came to help in the heat. We are looking forward to seeing the facility decorated with beautiful flowers.

西町インターナショナルスクールの Grade ８ community service group の皆さんが、フードドライブを実施し、４３世帯分のケアパッケージ

を作り、ご寄付してくださいました。

若い世代の方々が率先し行動してくれることで、未来に大きな希望を

We delivered decorating ornaments and sweets/snacks for the coming Tanabata star festival to our partner learning support institution and children’s home. Children wrote their wishes on Tanzaku cards. Wish it comes true.

母の日プロジェクト｜２０２２.４.２９

母子支援施設に入居されているお母さんたちに、母の日ギフトを

お届けするプロジェクトを実施しました。

日頃から子供たちのために頑張っておられるお母さんたちを、

応援したい！という想いで始まったプロジェクト。

今年は、「あったらうれしい日用品」をテーマに６施設、１１６名の

お母さん方にお届けいたしました。

Happy Mother’s Day Project | Apr 29th, 2022

This project started to appreciate the mothers in mothers’ homes for being a mother and doing their best to be. Therefore, Mother’s Day is the most suitable! 

The theme of this year is “daily necessities that make us glad if we have”. So, we delivered some daily necessity items to 116 mothers in 6 homes. Huge thanks to those who joined this project. Thank you!

バースデーボックスプロジェクト｜２０２２.４.２０

児童養護施設で暮らす子供たちの誕生月に、誕生日プレゼントを

送る、バースデーボックスプロジェクトを実施しました。

今回は、２５名のボランティアさんにご協力をいただきました。

子どもから大人まで、様々な年齢層の方々にお手伝いいただき、

小さな子供たちも、バースデーボックスにギフトを詰めて、

心を込めてお祝いメッセージを書き、とても丁寧にラッピングを

してくれました。

Happy Birthday Project | Apr 20th, 2022

We held a Happy Birthday project to celebrate the birthday of underprivileged children. Today’s volunteers had various range of generations. They packed the gift with their handwritten message to the underprivileged children and then gift-wrapped it gently.

役立つスマートウォッチをプレゼントしました。

このスマートウォッチは、サポーターの皆さまがご寄付でご購入

してくださったものです。子供たちもとても喜んでくれたそうです。

皆さんの応援を受け、引き続き頑張ってほしいですね。

Celebrating going up a grade | Apr 8th, 2022

The New School year has come. It comes to everyone equally even to the children of mothers’ homes. Our supporters gifted smartwatches to the children to celebrate their new lives. Of course, the children loved the gift. Wish them great success in their new school lives.

児童養護施設へ文具の贈り物｜２０２２.４.６

新学期がはじまり、子供たちの新たな一年がスタートします。

また新たな気持ちで、元気で楽しく過ごしてほしい、

The New School year has come. Children went up their grades. We want them to enjoy a brand-new year with full of energy, we delivered stationery gifts to underprivileged children. The gifts were provided to the children with the satisfaction of demand and supply.
